There are two broad categories of forex signals:
- Forex signals generated by automation.
- Forex signals generated directly by real traders (real human beings)
Direct cut to the point, the most profitable forex signals are those generated by traders who are still active traders: these ALWAYS outperform the signals generated by automation, regardless of which system the automation is modeled on and regardless of how well programmed ( and tried again) it is.
However, forex signals generated by automation are much more traded than those generated by real traders. This is really more a matter of people trying to maximize their earnings from sales commissions than what is actually best for the merchant. Automated signals cannot respond to changes in the market due to news events or even invariably natural drift. They are also limited to one of the few trading strategies. I have never met anyone who has made very good money in forex using automatic signals.
Therefore, the first step in searching for the most profitable forex signals is to eliminate automated signals and focus only on human generated signals.
The second step is to evaluate the quality of human-generated signals. Here are some important considerations:
- Signs should arrive in REAL TIME, as close as possible instantly. Timing is very important in forex trading and if you are going to follow what a real trader does you should get the signals “instantly”.
- You don’t want to receive signals in a vacuum. Search for tutorials, webinars, articles, forums, etc., that is, you want to get an education, not just signals in a vacuum. This is an explanation of why a merchant chooses to do things the way he is doing them. It is better to also have a place to ask questions and perhaps also to interact with other Forex traders who are using the same signals.
- Not everyone agrees with this point, but I like having the option to operate with AUTO. In other words, you can configure the system to automatically exchange signals that are sent to you (with some security in place) that is not nearby. While I want to learn, I am very busy and cannot be glued to Forex trading all day. If I pay for a forex signal subscription, I also want the benefit of being able to simply “flip a switch” and make good money on it.
